This braid is made by firmly taking 16 strands of normal organic cotton thread and braiding it on an antique shoe lace braider found in a vintage textile factory in South Carolina. The result is this neat braid that is soft, strong and elegant all as well. The braid is hand colored with fiber-reactive dyes that don’t fade or wash out. The dye really becomes area of the molecular framework for the cotton. The hand dye method is low immersion to truly save water. It gives the braid slight variations of darks and lights that lend an antique quality to your finished work. Its uses are endless! It’s very easy to knit together with flatnes for the strand adds depth and meaning towards pattern. The braid could also be used for rug hooking. Because it’s a tape you won't ever have to cut strips and your entire project goes faster. It looks exactly like hand dyed wool when your project is done, nonetheless it’s not suseptible to moth harm.
